A three-year-old girl in a pram was hit by a truck and pushed across the road for 15 meters in a horrible crash on Friday morning.

The crash happened in Northmead, in western Sydney, while the girl's mother waited to cross the road at a busy intersection.

Paramedics found the girl unconscious and stabilized her before she was taken to the hospital by helicopter.

Dramatic photos from the scene showed that the truck was mounted on the curb and the pram was sideways on the floor while doctors helped the toddler.
