Todd Chrisley fears for the future of his marriage after it was revealed his wife Julie Chrisley has the chance to reduce her prison sentence, while her appeal was rejected.
The married couple, famous for their hit show Chrisley Knows Best, were convicted in 2022 of conspiring to defraud community banks of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans. They were also found guilty of tax evasion.
Julie, 51, received a seven-year prison sentence, while Todd, 55, received a 12-year sentence.
But on Friday, federal appeals judges overturned Julie’s sentence, giving her the chance to receive a reduced sentence from a lower court.
Todd is happy his wife now has the chance for an earlier release, but worries it could mean the end of their relationship, insiders said.

Julie’s case will now return to a lower court for resentencing, providing the opportunity for a potentially reduced prison sentence as she is currently serving a seven-year sentence.
“Although Todd is happy for Julie, he’s already at the end of his rope and has about eight years left,” a source told DailyMail.com. “He’s glad Julie can be there for the family.”
“More than anything, Todd fears that if Julie gets out she will find someone else, fall in love, and leave Todd…someone who didn’t drag her through hell and back.”
Last week, despite upholding the convictions, a three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decided to reevaluate Julie’s sentence.
She was initially found responsible for the fraud scheme dating back to 2006.
But on Friday it was ruled that there was no evidence of her involvement before 2007, partially exonerating her of the conspiracy. Sun reported.
Julie’s case will now return to a lower court for resentencing, providing the opportunity for a potentially reduced prison sentence for her punishment for what the appeals panel called a “limited issue.”
Alex Little, the couple’s lawyer, told DailyMail.com: ‘While we are pleased that Julie will receive a new sentence at this time, Todd’s sentence will not be affected.
‘We hope that Julie’s sentence will be reduced, but the reduction will depend on the final level of offence she will receive depending on any final financial loss attributed to her.
The source told DailyMail.com: “More than anything, Todd fears that if Julie is out, she will find someone else, fall in love and leave him.”

“Julie’s favorable outcome was achieved thanks to a government witness who stated that Julie’s alleged involvement began in 2007 and not 2006.”
He said Julie is “satisfied” but “concerned” about Todd.
He continued: “Julie, I’m sure, was pleased to be sentenced again, hopefully to a lesser term and can return to her family, but she is rightly worried about Todd.”
The source revealed that Julie’s children, Chase, 28, and Savannah, 26, have high hopes that their mother will be able to serve out the remainder of her time on “home confinement.”
“Savannah and Chase act like Julie is already home,” they said. “There is a good chance that she will be released to home release.
But on June 21, despite upholding the convictions, a three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decided to reevaluate Julie’s sentence.
Todd, 54, is currently serving his 12-year sentence at FPC Pensacola and his wife is behind bars at FMC Lexington, a prison in Kentucky (pictured in 2019).
‘Savannah literally lives for this because she’s having a hard time balancing her life and being a mom to Chloe and Grayson.
“She acts like her constant defense of them is what got Julie out and it literally has nothing to do with her.”
The reality star couple was found guilty in July 2022 of conspiring to defraud community banks of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans.
The Chrisleys were also found guilty of tax evasion by hiding their earnings while displaying an extravagant lifestyle, and both went to prison in January 2023.
Their sentences were reduced in September: Julie was sentenced to five and a half years at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, while Todd received 10 years in a federal prison in Pensacola.
In November, sources told DailyMail.com that Julie was questioning her marriage to Todd, who they claimed convinced her they would “never go to jail.”
“Julie’s friends are sure that she will eventually divorce Todd for convincing her to follow his foolproof plan that landed them in prison,” they said.
Todd and Julie rose to fame thanks to their American reality show Chrisley Knows Best, which premiered in 2014 and documented their daily life with their children.
It lasted nine seasons before being canceled amid scandal.
The disgraced duo are also parents to Lindsie, 34, their estranged son Kyle, 32, and Grayson, 17.
In the series, Todd and Julie worked hard to portray the image of devoted parents and devout Christians.
But this was erased when it became public that they had defrauded the bank by submitting false documents when applying for loans.
Additionally, Todd’s former business partner Mark Braddock shocked the world when he claimed he had a gay love affair with the father of five during the trial, something he vehemently denied.
Todd and Julie are serving their sentences in two separate facilities.
Todd is currently incarcerated in Pensacola, Florida. Meanwhile, Julie is left beaten up in Lexington, Kentucky.
Savannah has become an advocate for better prison conditions after her father spoke out about the alleged horrible conditions she lives in.
