Todd and Julie Chrisley are ‘devastated’ and ‘plan to appeal’ tax/bank fraud conviction

Chrisley Knows Best stars Todd and Julie Chrisley are ‘devastated and disappointed’ after being found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion.

The couple was found guilty of running a long-standing conspiracy to evade taxes and defraud community banks for more than $30 million.

“Both Chrisleys are devastated and disappointed with the verdict and will appeal,” their attorney Steve Friedberg said. People on Thursday.

A federal jury in Atlanta convicted 53-year-old Todd and 49-year-old Julie of tax evasion and conspiracy to defraud the IRS, and she was convicted of wire fraud and obstruction of justice.

In addition, Chrisley’s accountant Peter Tarantino was convicted of conspiracy to defraud the IRS and of filing two false corporate tax returns on behalf of their film production company.
