Today’s Show: Sarah Abo Takes Her $34,000 Toyota Corolla For A Spin Around Sydney

New Today host Sarah Abo proves she’s more down-to-earth than money-earning Karl Stefanovic as she spins around Sydney in her $34,000 Toyota Corolla.

She may be making a lot of money as the new co-host of the Today show, but Sarah Abo still drives a car worthy of her old 60 Minute salary.

The 35-year-old Channel Nine star has yet to improve his wheels since moving from Melbourne to Sydney for his breakfast climb.

She was seen taking her Toyota Corolla Hybrid, with an estimated value of $34,000, for a spin around Harbor City on Friday.

His vehicle is pretty humble compared to the luxury cars owned by his Today co-anchor Karl Stefanovic, who drives a $130,000 Toyota Land Cruiser.

Karl, 48, used to drive a $180,000 Mercedes-Benz and was once seen in the driver’s seat of a vintage $300,000 Land Rover.

Sarah cut a sleek figure in a beige shirtdress, which she teamed with a $1,390 Fendi cap and sandals.

She began hosting Today full-time in January, but had been a familiar face to viewers for some time while taking over from former co-host Ally Langdon last year.

Earlier this month, Sarah opened up about her refreshing approach to dealing with online trolls, saying it’s something she doesn’t take too seriously.

‘If it’s something as trivial as what you’re wearing or the way you style your hair, who the hell cares?’ she told the something to talk about podcast.

‘As long as he’s doing a good job, that’s all that matters. So sure, try my hair or what I’m wearing. I couldn’t care less.

Sarah also admitted that her early morning starts were a shock to the system after working late nights at 60 Minutes for years.

I have had to completely recalibrate. I’m waking up at a time that wouldn’t be too far away (when I’d go to sleep earlier), but I’m adjusting,” she said.

Channel Nine announced in November that Sarah would replace Ally on the Today show alongside host Karl, who recently signed a new contract with the network worth $1.8 million.
