Today, presenter Sarah Abo reveals the cheeky trolls she receives from viewers on a daily basis – and why joining the breakfast show was a shock to the system
Today’s Sarah Abo shared the astonishing amount of social media criticism she’s faced since replacing Allison Langdon on the Channel Nine breakfast show in January.
Speak against Something to talk about podcast on Friday, the former 60 Minutes reporter, 35, admitted to being bullied on a daily basis about even the most banal things, but never takes it too seriously.
“If it’s something as trivial as what you wear or the way your hair is (styled), who cares. As long as I do my job well, that’s all that matters,” she said.
“So sure, look at my hair or what I’m wearing. I could not care less.’
Abo then admitted that her early morning start was a big shock to the system after working late at night on 60 minutes.

“I had to completely recalibrate myself. I wake up at a time that wouldn’t be too far off (when I went to sleep earlier), but I adjust,” she said.
Channel Nine announced in November that Abo would replace Langdon on the Today show alongside Stefanovic.
Abo officially joined the breakfast show on Monday, January 16, which also includes newscaster Alex Cullen and entertainment reporter Brooke Boney.

She had been a familiar face to viewers of the Nine show, having filled in for Langdon several times last year.
“I am thrilled to be part of Today’s amazing and hard-working team who manage to inform the nation every morning while having a lot of fun at the same time,” Sarah said in a press release.
She may have one of the most high-profile jobs in Australian television, but Abo has worked hard to keep her personal life a secret.
Sarah has been married to her husband Cyrus Moran since 2012 and they quietly celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in December.
