Presenter Karl Stefanovic delivered flowers to Annastacia Palaszczuk today and apologizes for criticizing the closure of the coronavirus borders in Queensland

Karl Stefanovic apologized to Prime Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk, Queensland for criticizing her decision to keep the borders closed during the coronavirus pandemic.

Today’s presenter interviewed Ms. Palaszczuk on Friday morning as Queensland prepared for the rest of the country – except Victoria – in the afternoon.

Melbourne is fighting a second wave of COVID-19 cases, and Victorians will remain excluded from Queensland in the near future.

Mr Stefanovic closed the interview when he told Ms Palaszczuk that he was ‘sorry’ for criticizing her cautious reopening of the borders.

“Okay, a few weeks ago [NSW Premier] Gladys Berejiklian, and yours really, called your decision to keep the borders closed, among other things, “crazy” and “illogical,” he said.

Mrs. Palaszczuk intervened, “That’s right, I remember all that,” before Stefanovic continued his apologetic apology.

“On behalf of Gladys and myself, I’m sorry,” he said.

“Are we ever going to talk again?”

Ms. Palaszczuk said she accepted the apology and today co-presenter Allison Langdon offered the Prime Minister an apology gift on behalf of Stevanovic.

“And can I pause here and say that I predicted a little torment this morning, so on behalf of Karl, Jessica Millward and I organized an apology gift to the Prime Minister of Queensland,” she said.

“Prime Minister, this is Karl’s.”

Ms. Palaszczuk, who was live from the QLD-NSW border at Coolangatta, then received a bunch of flowers.

‘Thank you. This means a lot. Thank you very much, ”she said.

“On behalf of the people of Queensland, Karl, we accept your apologies.”
