Paramount announced that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem coming to Paramount Plus tomorrow in the United States and Canada. The computer-animated film is now its seventh. Turtles movie in a line that started with the 1990 live-action movie better than it should have been. Mutant Chaos that’s it availableIt can be pre-ordered in 4K. UHD Blu-ray, Standard Blu-ray and DVD.
The film arrives just one day before Paramount Plus ends its 50 percent discount for one year of its ad-supported tier ($29.99) or one year of its Paramount Plus with Showtime plan ($59.99), which also would open access to Dungeons and Dragons, Top Gun: Maverick, and Star Trek show how Strange new worlds.
Mutant Chaos reintroduced the origin story of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s characters in a tale that The edge Charles Pulliam-Moore wrote that it “will seem almost too familiar to anyone who knows heroes halfway.” Still, he thought it was “without a doubt one of the most exciting and definitive outings” in Turtles history.
Did not reach the lofty heights of Barbie either Super Mario Bros., but Mutant Chaos performed well at the global box office, grossing $162 million on a $70 million budget. A sequel has already been confirmed, as has a 2D spinoff series called Tales of the Ninja Turtles. Both will see actors Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon return as Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael.
