Tinder will now question you about your vibes

Tinder wants to give you more information about what you and a match have in common, so it’s launching a new quiz feature to help. The quizzes, called Vibes, come out once a week and ask an assortment of crazy questions, from “_____ isn’t picnic food” to “Are you always 20 minutes early or 10 minutes late?” If another person has given the same answers as you, those answers will appear in their profile or, if you match, together in your chat.

Vibes doesn’t turn Tinder into a full-fledged OkCupid rival for endless silly personality quiz questions. The answers are temporary and will disappear after a few days. So you have to go back to the app and answer new questions the following week if you want to participate again.

Tinder has been testing the quizzes since last year, and they are said to have increased “ likes and matches across the board. ” (Although the company doesn’t provide a specific figure on how many likes and matches have increased.) Vibes appears to be Tinder’s latest effort to increase engagement and give users more to talk about. The app previously ran an interactive video series where users could talk about what decisions they made for the characters.

The feature is rolling out today and will be available globally by the end of May.
