The dating professional stressed the importance of selecting photos that help provide a glimpse into your life experiences and hobbies – and urged people to make sure that the biography ‘calls out’ to potential suitors.

During the conversation, the YouTuber also explained that he intentionally avoids any mention of his job or financial status on his profile – adding that this could be a real turnoff for some.

THE TOP TIPS FROM JAMES

1. Provide photos that tell a story and a detailed biography with a clear ‘call to action’

2. Avoid any mention of your job or financial status on your profile

3. Use Tinder on a desktop instead of logging in through the app, as it reportedly increases your rank

4. Make sure all information and photos on your profile are fully completed – including additional links to social media pages

5. Activate the ‘recently active’ button

James, who regularly posts dating advice on his social media channel, also advocates using Tinder on the desktop instead of logging in through the app.

He goes on to explain that the reason is that it allegedly increases your rankings.

According to James, it is also important to make sure that all information and photos on your profile are complete.

This includes additional links to social media pages, such as Twitter and Facebook.

Another important point he emphasizes is to make sure that the ‘recently active’ button is activated.

It means anyone interested knows you’re around to talk to, making them more likely to swipe right.

As one of Tinder’s most popular suitors, it’s no surprise that James says he’s “ pretty selective ” when it comes to what makes him swipe right.

He told Reddit, ‘I only match with someone if they meet the criteria of’ Would I enjoy sitting across from this person in a bar? If the answer is yes, I’ll swipe right! ‘
