Tina Turner’s son Ike Jr. was arrested for possession of crack cocaine weeks before his death and ‘tried to eat the drug before officers could seize it’
Ike Turner Jr., the son of the late Tina and Ike Turner, was arrested last month in Texas on multiple drug charges, less than three weeks before his famous mother died at 83.
Ike Jr., 64, was arrested May 6 in Alvin, Texas, for possession of crack cocaine and tampering with evidence, police said. People Wednesday.
“He tried to eat the drugs before officers could seize it,” Capt. QT Arendell of the Alvin Police Department told the outlet.
Ike Jr. was unable to post the $70,000 bond after his arrest, police told the outlet.
A passenger in the vehicle with Ike Jr., Jessica Salinas-Esquivel, was also charged with possession of methamphetamine, police said, according to the outlet.
