Tina Knowles is thrilled with her granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter.
The 70-year-old, who recently spoke out about the bullying her daughter Beyoncé suffered as a child, opened up Instagram on Monday to congratulate the 12-year-old for winning the YoungStars Award at the 2024 BET Awards.
“Congratulations my Blue Blue! I’m amazed by your talent, your beauty, your intelligence, but what I’m most proud of is your kindness and down-to-earth attitude. You never seek attention, you’re always calm and relaxed,” she wrote alongside a photo of Blue.
‘Yesterday you played the piano just for me like someone who has been taking lessons for years. But you are self-taught. One day I hope you will let me publish it and brag like other grandmothers do.’
“But for now you made me swear not to share it. You play sports, you play the piano, you dance like a pro in front of 80,000 people. You paint like a great artist, you draw very well, you sing beautifully. (You have the voice of an angel),” she continued in the lengthy post.

“And despite all the troubled adults out there battling the green-eyed monster disease, in true Carter/Knowles/Beyoncé tradition, this just motivates you to keep going. Congrats BC, you deserve everything you work hard to get. Thank you BET for this honor,” she concluded.
