The 56-year-old says her 18-year-old son, Gabriel, left Australia permanently in response to Victoria’s harsh lockdown laws during the height of the Covid pandemic.

The teenager now lives with his father, French artist Vincent Mancini, in Paris.

‘It’s been there for the last three years. Gabriel eventually decided to leave Victoria during lockdown because, like many young children, he couldn’t stand being locked up at home. None of us did,’ Tina says in this week’s edition of Stellar Magazine.

‘We were supposed to suck it up and shut up. “I still struggle with that, and that’s why I talked a lot too.”

Tina said the experience “was a heartbreaking moment for the family because the family fell apart.”

Tina and Vincent, who had been together since 2000, split almost five years ago, and she admits: “We’re all fine now, thank God, but it was brutal.

‘So when your only child decides to leave because he needs to be able to walk the streets and have a sense of freedom and be a little boy and learn, I got really angry at the state, at Australia, and at them being so docile.’

In 2020, Tina confessed that she was “struggling” to homeschool her teenage son while in isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic.
