The Mandalorian recruits Timothy Olyphant for season two … along with Rosario Dawson and Michael Biehn in the Disney + hit
Last December, the Star Wars spin-off series The Mandalorian was such a hit that it single-handedly helped the young streaming service Disney + fight Netflix.
So it’s no surprise that famous names are lining up to take part in the highly anticipated second season.
The last of those names is Justified actor Timothy Olyphant, whose credits also include popular shows Santa Clarita Diet, Fargo and Deadwood, as well as movies like Scream 2, Go and The Crazies.

As seen in The Hollywood Reporter, the role of the 51-year-old Emmy nominee in the popular Star Wars show has yet to be specified, as he can play a new character or a returning favorite.
And while Olyphant’s role remains shrouded in mystery, his casting in Jon Favreau’s West-inspired sci-fi epic fits well, especially when considering Timothy’s acclaimed armed roles in Deadwood and Justified.
In addition to this final bit of cast information, Star Wars geeks have recently gotten some extra exciting and welcome Mandalorian news as other celebrated actors have been announced as attached to hit series.
One such artist is 25th Hour actress Rosaria Dawson, who will bring favorite character Ahsoka Tano to life in the next round of the series.
Tano, the Jedi student of Anakin Skywalker (later known as Darth Vader), is a character central to the Clone Wars animated series, which is also available for streaming on Disney + and is considered part of the official Star Wars canon.

Another actor linked to The Mandalorian is sci-fi favorite Michael Biehn, who is famous for his roles in both the first Terminator opposite Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger as well as in the classic Ridley Scott movie Aliens with Sigourney Weaver.
Finally, fans are overjoyed to welcome New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison back into the Star Wars universe, as it was announced earlier this month that he will take on the role of Boba Fett in the second season of the series.
Morrison was last seen in the prequel movie 2002 Star Wars Episode II – Attack Of The Clones, in which he played Boba’s father Jango Fett.

The Mandalorian secretly packed production in the second season and is slated to release on the Disney streaming platform in October this year.
The series earned monstrous popularity last year, not least thanks to a desperately cute little alien called The Child, or ‘Baby Yoda’ as it has become known on social media channels.
The fate of Baby Yoda, as well as his Mandalorian goalkeeper, will be told in the second season of the series, with episodes directors including Favreau, Star Wars prodigy Dave Filloni, as well as Sin City helmer Robert Rodriguez and Ant-Man’s Peyton Riet .
