“Whatever you say, beautiful,” laughed another, in response to the actor speaking in French.
In 2022, Timothee gave fans a glimpse into his parents’ relationship during an interview while promoting his film The French Dispatch.
“I loved The French Dispatch because it really reminded me of my father’s legacy and how he met my mother,” the Call Me By Your Name star said.
Recalling the moment his parents met, he said: “My father was on a business trip to New York while working as a journalist for Le Parisien, the French newspaper. Now he works at the United Nations.
‘My mother was a dancer when she met my father, and now she works in real estate. But you could see the parallels,” he finished.
On Tuesday, the actor – who is currently dating Kylie Jenner – caused a scene when he arrived at the London premiere of Complete Unknown on a Lime electric bike.
However, the Oscar nominee’s two-wheeled red carpet ride – which went viral on social media – ultimately cost him money.
Chalamet revealed on French chat show Quotidien on Wednesday that he was fined £65 (which works out to about $79) for incorrectly parking the e-bike at BFI Southbank.

“There was a traffic jam,” said Chalamet, speaking in French, about his reason for choosing to bring an “ecological” bicycle to the premiere instead of a car with a driver.
Without the actor knowing, he parked the e-bike in a place where he was ‘not actually allowed to park’.
“I got a fine and that was actually terrible, because it was actually a kind of advertisement for them,” Chalamet told presenter Yann Romain Barthès.
Chalamet’s cycle path to the big London premiere of his film also earned a parking fine for professional photographer Aidan Zamiri, who rode alone with the actor on a Lime e-bike.
On Tuesday, Zamiri shared a video of him and Chalamet driving over Westminster Bridge on the way to the premiere on his Instagram Story, with the accompanying caption: “Favorite mode of transportation.”
He later admitted that the trip was terminated by Lime – which monitors every trip – because he was inactive for an “unusually long time”, before eventually being fined £2 (which works out to about $2.40) – for ‘improper parking.’
Chalamet rode the red carpet on the green bike before ending his ride via Lime’s mobile app, although he later discovered he too had committed a parking violation.
