Tim Scott's fiancée Mindy Noce spoke out about their love story

Tim Scott’s fiancée Mindy Noce has opened up about her “heaven-sent” love story with the Republican senator and how she’s dealing with critics who say they only got engaged because he was running for president.

Vice presidential candidate Scott, 58, proposed to interior designer and mother of three Noce, 47, in January, just before the New Hampshire primary. They will be married on August 3 in Charleston, South Carolina.

Noce, of Charleston, has three adult children with her ex-husband. Scott has never been married.

The couple sat down with Fox and Friends on Thursday morning as part of a series of interviews with Trump’s vice presidential contenders and their partners.

Noce revealed how mutual friends tried to set them up on a pickleball date, before going to a Bible study together.

She thought their bond was “a gift from heaven.”

Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt asked Noce how he knew Scott was “the one.”

“God shows you the way,” Noce replied.

She added that she ignores critics who say they got married because he was a presidential candidate and are “upset because he’s a black man.”

Fox & Friends host Ainsley Earhardt questioned the couple about the criticism they’ve received, particularly from The View, who suggested the senator only got engaged to run for the vice presidency.

“They’re ridiculous, period. They’re not just comments about me, they’re paid to put people down,” Scott responded.

She added that she “goes into prayer” when negativity about her relationship arises.

Scott said he had been “praying for years” to find a wife. And he knew she was the one from their first conversation.

“She laughs and understands love of country and love (for) the Lord,” he explained. She is ‘attractive, family-oriented, dedicated to the country.’ It’s a pretty good deal.’

The couple went on to detail the romantic nature of Scott’s proposal on “one of the coldest days in January.”

They took a walk on the beach, admiring the beautiful sunset when Scott asked Noce to take off his gloves.

“I said no,” Noce replied… “until I saw him get the ring.”

“I got down on one knee and felt a wave of emotion hit me like a ton of bricks. I really want to spend the rest of my life with this woman. And what a blessing,” Scott gushed.

‘I’m a good listener, I’m proud of that. I will pray and pray a lot, being a prayer warrior for him, supporting him, listening to him and loving him is my role.

He is devoted to his lord and savior, to his family. He is devoted to his friends and to his country.’

Scott and Noce will be married on August 3 at Seacrest Church in Charleston.
