An Atlanta TikTok creator sparked a fierce debate online after posting a video of a friend’s birthday dinner escalating into chaos as he refuses to split the $4,600 bill equally.
TikToker Viccgotti, who has 1.4 million followers, can be seen animatedly arguing that he shouldn’t have to split his friend’s huge food bill, but should only pay for what he ate.
But the woman celebrating her birthday suggests that she expects her friends to cover her food too, telling Vicgotti, “It’s my fucking birthday, why the hell should I have to pay anything on my birthday?”
‘Why should I pay for something I didn’t buy?’ He answers.
The video, which has received nearly a million likes in 24 hours, shows the group making a scene at the fancy restaurant while Viccgotti points out everyone else’s expensive orders. It is not clear what he had requested himself.

One woman, dressed in a vibrant pink suit, said: “We went out together and split the bill.” Period!’
Yet another disagreed and stood up and said ‘you’ve got lamb chop, you’ve got steak, look at all they have and they’re talking about splitting the bill’. They will ask for too much and then want to split the bill,” he explained.
In a follow-up post, Viccgotti revealed that he and his friend, who he’s known since third grade, are sadly not on friendly terms anymore.
Explaining the fallout in another video, he said: “We ended up calling the waiter over and I said, ‘don’t split anything for me, you can split it if you want, but that’s not what we’re here for.'”
Viewers of the video were equally divided on the correct course of action.
‘I’m never going to argue about splitting an account. I’ll simply pay for MY food order and tip, contribute what I want to the birthday person, and leave a user comment.

“They’re not ashamed to yell like that about the bill,” wrote another.
While another agreed that the bill should have been agreed in advance, “they should have laid it out before sitting down.”
