Two girls had to be cut free by firefighters after getting stuck in a shopping cart during a joyride.
Danielle Harmer from Adelaide went to Munno Para Shopping City with her two friends on Sunday evening where the temptation of the shopping cart proved difficult.
“We decided to go to the parking lot and listen to music, and there were some carts there, so we thought we’d go in and push each other,” said Mrs. Harmer. 7News.

Mrs. Harmer said she was hesitant to get in herself, so her friend jumped in too and the third friend pushed them around.
But when they wanted to get out, they found they were trapped.
“She (my friend) says, ‘Oh no, I can’t get up,’ she recalled.
After realizing that she was also trapped, they decided to call the operator skeptically at first and ask if they were joking.
Firefighters from the South Australia Metropolitan Fire Service were sent to work.
“They just started laughing. It was as if six men were trying to pull us out and they literally failed.’
The fires then told the girls that they would use an angle grinder to cut through part of the shopping cart and take them out.
About fifteen minutes later, the girls were safely out of the car.
Harmer posted a video of the ordeal on TikTok, saying she “never wanted to see a shopping cart again.”
Amused firefighters arrived and had to cut off part of the trolley to free the girls because they were so trapped (pictured)
