‘Living in the Matrix!’ TikTok video sends viewers into a frenzy as a man pushing a stroller ‘teleports’ into the shot from nowhere
A young TikToker has terrified her followers on the platform after she posted a video of herself in which a man appears to appear out of nowhere in the background.
Tara Lee Page, 23, posted a video of herself standing in Chinatown in London’s West End, with other people walking past her in the background.
The fashion graduate made the video by using Live Photos taken on her iPhone, which plays a small snippet of the photo they captured.
As she faces the camera, a man in a khahi jacket pushing a pram approaches her in the background, before briefly disappearing from view behind her.
When he reappears, he is magically joined by a second man who was not there before, causing viewers of the video to panic.
Tara posted the clips to her TikTok channel, writing, “Where is the second guy from? POV: living in the matrix.’
Endorsing the video, she suggested the second man was a “time traveler” or suggested he may have been “teleported” into the shot.
Tara wrote, “Where is the second man from????”
Commenting on the video, people said the man appearing out of nowhere must be a “wizard” after magically getting into the shot.

Some more skeptical viewers who don’t believe in magic accused Tara of cutting the footage to make it look like the man came out of nowhere.
However, she clarified, “I can confirm that the video was not cut, it’s just a screenshot from a Live Photo and I thought it was weird.”
Some viewers who watched the video multiple times shared their theories about how the clip came about.
One person said, “The second man walks up from behind to the girl who is out of the picture. The first man walks across.’
But when viewers rushed to comment on the video, which has more than 125,000 likes, they saw even more details that scared them.
One viewer said, “What I also noticed is that they both have one hand on the stroller, but their hands are crossed.”
