“I just didn’t want to get caught stealing. You know what it’s like.’

The cashier then informs the man that the grapes are too light for the checkout scale to detect.

“Well, I can’t weigh them, because weighing isn’t enough,” she was heard to say.

He responds by asking her if he can ‘eat’ them.

The employee then looks around the store, seemingly confused about what to do, before telling the man again that she couldn’t weigh the fruit.

He then takes the two grapes and says to her: ‘Just don’t say anything’.

The video was uploaded to TikTok and quickly went viral online, with 6.5 million views as of Wednesday.

But viewers were annoyed at the man’s “joke” to score free grapes, with respondents criticizing him for harassing the employee.

Other users told the man to “leave her alone.”

The video is believed to have been removed on Wednesday.
