She’s the wildly popular influencer who went viral after an embarrassing encounter at last year’s TikTok Awards.
And Sophia Begg, 19, better known as Sopha Dopha, has responded to the controversy.
Dopha came under fire online after her encounter with presenter Tony Armstrong, which she now says was nothing more than a misunderstanding.
During the ceremony, Armstrong approached Dopha to make a comment on camera after telling her that she “seemed ecstatic” after receiving a Creator of the Year Award nomination.
Dopha replied: ‘Thanks, wow, stop flirting with me.’

Fans later accused her of not knowing the meaning of “ecstatic” and speculated that she believed Armstrong was offering her a physical compliment, as she “looked exquisite.”
speaking to StellarDopha now says she was “nervous.”
“Honestly, I could have thrown up on the microphone,” he explained.
“We were in the front row and I wasn’t really informed that someone was coming across the front. I wish I had… not a script, but just an idea. Because when you’re that nervous, you kind of need a script.

She said that after Armstrong “roasted” Andy Hearnden, known as AndyCooks, for being “boring”, she thought she was going to be “roasted” too when the presenter turned to her to make a comment.
‘So that’s the reason I said what I said: it was the first thing that came to mind, it was so stupid. Also, in the viral TikTok that was posted, they cut out the part where Tony said, “You look great tonight,” which is why I said what I said.
Meanwhile, Sophia has sparked controversy on several occasions over the past few years.

In April last year, the blonde was forced to apologize after dressing up as the stingray that killed Steve Irwin for an Australian-themed costume party.
Sophia’s outfit choice sparked outrage among her TikTok followers, who criticized her for being “disrespectful” to the Irwin family.
After being gutted by critics, Sophia released a statement saying she “didn’t mean to offend anyone” or “disrespect Steve’s family.”
Last December 2022, Sophia also sparked a backlash online again after selling $89 gift boxes to her Instagram followers.
The controversial social media celebrity has attracted 1.7 million followers on her Instagram and TikTok accounts.
The beauty gift bags included self-tanning foam, sunscreen, earrings and a trucker hat.
Celebrity watchdog account Influencer Updates shared her post on their page and Sophia was quickly criticized in the comments for promoting “mass-produced trash.”
