A TikTok star accused of violently assaulting his influencer girlfriend by dragging her by the hair, punching her in the face multiple times and threatening to kill her has been granted bail.
Rabih Houchar, 26, known as @Dior_onma_body to his 16,800 followers, appeared in the photo. The NSW Supreme Court Mondays, where he pleaded not guilty to domestic violence-related assault occasioning actual bodily harm, destruction or damage to property and stalking or intimidating Tara Eslami on June 16.
Houchar’s lawyer, Ertunc Ozen SC, applied for bail on condition of home detention, which Judge Robert Allan Hulme granted.
The prosecution argued there was an unacceptable risk that Houchar would carry out his alleged threat to “kill” Ms Eslami.
However, Justice Hulme found that the conditions of home detention, which include reporting to police daily and a ban on internet access, were sufficient to reduce the risks to Ms Eslami and the community.
