Millie Ford has made a career for herself on social media.

But the TikTok star says she can’t rely on the internet to make a living once she hits middle age, and warned other influencers to branch out too.

The 27-year-old, who is now pursuing an acting career, tells this week’s issue of Star Magazine That online fame is fleeting.

“While I’m very grateful for the platform I’ve been given, it’s very volatile,” Millie told the publication.

‘We can’t be creating content until we’re 50. It’s fine if you do, but not all of us will.

“We don’t need to be pigeonholed into making videos. I wonder what else I can do. We don’t know what the future of social media will be.”

She continued: “Honestly, if someone asks me what I do, I don’t know where to start. I like to call myself a creative person in general because beyond acting and singing or whatever, I’m full of ideas. My mind is constantly daydreaming.”

Millie has since turned her hand to acting and made her debut in Home And Away in February.

The Sydney-based internet star landed a supporting role on the hit Channel 7 soap and made her grand arrival in Summer Bay.

She played an influencer named Montana, which wasn’t too far removed from her own rise to fame posting viral parody videos on TikTok.

Millie has found huge success with her amazing impersonations of ordinary Australian teachers, parents and shop assistants and has amassed 1.5 million followers on the platform.

Now, she has turned to acting and landed a role in the popular soap opera, after successfully playing the role of a school librarian in the Australian television series Bump.

During Millie’s cameo, her character Montana complains to Rose Delaney (Kirsty Marillier) about having to do community service.

Following her Home And Away debut, Millie gushed that it was “amazing” working with series regulars Justin, Kirsty and Kyle Shilling, who plays Mali Hudson.

“I was just a sponge watching them work and it all happened so fast,” he said. 7news.

‘They also helped me not feel self-conscious, and I think that’s really important because it just comes across on camera.

“We were laughing so hard we could hardly contain ourselves in front of the camera.”

Millie also enthusiastically posted photos and videos of her scenes on social media, raving that the project was “a dream come true.”

The social media star has been passionate about acting since she was a child, when she took part in school plays, and is now pursuing it as a career.

Millie has secured an acting agent and creative manager and hopes to land more comedy roles in the future.

The glamazon previously worked in social media and marketing before shooting to viral fame, admitting she never considered TikTok could become a career.

In 2021, she told Daily Mail Australia: “I’m so grateful to have had a platform to share my creativity and make people laugh. The support from my audience has been incredible.”
