TikTok star Chris O’Donnell, known online as Creeohdee, shared a heartbreaking message in a haunting Instagram post, two months before his tragic death at age 31.
The fitness influencer, born Christopher Ryan O’Donnell, died on January 11, according to an online obituary.
The social media star’s death has been ruled a suicide, according to People. The Maricopa medical examiner confirmed to the publication that O’Donnell died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Chris, who stopped drinking in 2018 and spoke openly about mental health, was popular on TikTok, with more than 842,000 followers and 28.2 million likes, as well as more than 241,000 followers on Instagram.
Although he hadn’t been as active on the app recently, in November 2024 he shared a video reel of several of his hiking adventures with a haunting caption reflecting on how he would be remembered after his death.
He wrote: “I wonder when I leave this earth, when I leave the rat race, when I am lying on the ground, if you will remember my face.”

He then added a series of clips from his travels around the world, including a hike through the snow and a drive through the desert.
In another clip, he was playing with a dog, before lip-syncing to Curits Waters’ Manic Man in a studio.
The lyrics of the song said: ‘I want to feel alive when you scream my name; I want to feel alive when you feel my pain;
‘I wonder when I will leave this earth; When I leave the rat race; When I am lying on the ground you will remember my face;
‘Put me in the books or hide me in my coffin; I don’t want to be alive if I’m in last place.

One of his friends, Morgan Ballou, shared a touching tribute on his obituary page, writing: “Chris, I will love you forever.” You have been a light in my life since we met in 2016. I wish we had moved to California together in 2021 like we talked about.
‘I’d like us to keep in touch more than just online every few weeks. I have so many wishes. In the end I wish you peace. My heart is broken. All the love and thoughts in the world to your family and Blue.’

He wrote that it was “one of my proudest moments as a brother, to be able to send these two into the next chapter of their lives.”
Beyond fitness updates and workout routines, the influencer frequently shared photos and videos of his dog and his outdoor adventures on both platforms.
In another post from 2022, posted at the top of his Instagram profile, he talked about his background and revealed that he was born in Norfolk, Virginia and has “a background in mental health and substance abuse.”
‘As you’ve probably noticed, I’m a content creator and most of my media revolves around fitness. However, fitness is far from my passion,” he wrote.
‘I have dropped out of university twice. I’ve worked more jobs than I can count, from being a pool boy in Florida to being covered in fish guts for 20 hours a day at a salmon processing plant in Alaska. I have experienced many different lifestyles in my short period of time here on earth and I love learning about other cultures and beliefs that challenge my own.’

Chris further shared, “I love the outdoors in general and just about every animal under the sun (sorry, mosquitoes) and I have two beautiful pups, Blue and Riley, who accompany me on my adventures.”
Later in the post, she wrote, “I’ve been open about mental health since I talked about it as a YL leader in high school, and I’ve been transparent about my own struggles in the hopes that it will help others on their own journey.” “.
“I also got sober in 2018 and have been an advocate for substance abuse awareness ever since, helping struggling men and women find the treatment they need.”
