Fans praised Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s new TGL golf league after tuning into the first night of the new format on ESPN.

The league kicked off with New York taking on The Bay at Florida’s state-of-the-art SoFi Center on Tuesday night, and immediately the league had fans hooked.

With creators Woods and McIlroy watching from the stands, the first matchup saw the likes of Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler and Matt Fitzpatrick take on Shane Lowry, Ludvig Aberg and Wyndham Clark.

Woods’ Jupiter Links will make their debut next Tuesday against Tommy Fleetwood and Collin Morikawa’s Los Angeles Golf Club.

McIlroy’s Boston Common makes its first appearance in late January in Week 4 of the tournament, taking on Woods in a blockbuster finish to the first month.
