Thousands of attendees for Dua Lipa’s Sydney concert have been stranded outside the arena after they reported that the ticketing app used for the event had crashed.
A concert-goer, Paula Deyah, said frustrated fans had waited for hours in huge lines outside the Qudos Bank Arena on Wednesday night.
Fans were forced to search their emails for the digital copies of tickets and door staff had to manually check them all before letting anyone in.
Twitter was inundated with complaints from people trapped outside just before 9pm – half an hour after the event’s scheduled start at 8:30pm.

“Should be a great show if the website and app work… kids are crying here because they can’t get in,” one person wrote.
“What a disaster this is, the app is not working and tickets are not valid for many people,” said another.
Dua Lipa appeared on stage just after 9pm and apologized to the fans and thanked them for their patience.
