A three-year-old boy has died in a tragic traffic accident.
The boy was found in a critical condition at the Rockhampton Showgrounds on Exhibition Road in central Queensland about 4.30pm on Tuesday.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics attempted to treat him at the scene but were unable to save him.
A woman in her 40s was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
A QAS spokesman said the woman did not appear to have suffered any injuries. She has since been discharged.
