Heidi Marie Littlefield, 41, her daughter, Logan Marie Runyon, 22, and Runyon’s boyfriend, Robert James Walker, 29, were arrested last week in the murder of Francis Kelley in January.

The 46-year-old was found dead two months ago on a sofa in his Carmel home, just outside Indianapolis.

An autopsy later revealed that Kelley had been strangled, suffered blunt trauma to his head and had traces of fentanyl in his system, the Indy Star reports.

An investigation was opened after his death was considered murder.

Police say the investigation has uncovered a series of allegations, including that Littlefield once paid her daughter’s boyfriend $ 2,500 to hire someone to carry out the murder and that she had previously tried to kill him twice before. murder.

Investigators say Littlefield had previously tried to kill Kelley last year by sneaking into his house and stringing his soup with fentanyl.

A text message exchange between Littlefield and the victim in January of this year revealed that she was at his home the days before he died.

The pair had been talking about a custody hearing when Kelley texted, “Did you do something with the oatmeal that was in my fridge?”

Littlefield replied, “What are you actually talking about ????”

Kelley replied, “You were in my fridge last night and it tasted weird after a few bites and now I’m lightheaded.”

He stopped reading Littlefield’s texts and sent his last work email around that time.

Littlefield became a suspect after family members told police she had allegedly previously spoken about killing Kelley for the sake of their child.

She had previously claimed that Kelley was offensive.

During police interviews, Walker told authorities that Littlefield had drugged Kelley by putting the fentanyl in his oatmeal.

Littlfield and her daughter then went to Kelley’s house, where they reportedly found him on the floor.

She allegedly used his favorite tie to strangle him and hit his head on the floor repeatedly.

Littlefield had reportedly planned to blame her daughter for the murder.
