Honda has recalled its Accord model, which is popular with the company, as well as several others that are approved for use by Uber, Lyft and other ride-sharing companies.
Affected models include certain 2018-2019 Accord and Accord Hybrids, 2017-2018 CR-V, 2018-2020 Odysseys, 2019 Insight and 2019-2020 Acura RDX.

In the recall documents, the company said: ‘With continued use, the surface coating of the buckle channel may deteriorate over time and the release button may shrink against the channel at low temperatures, increasing friction. .
“This can lead to issues with the seat belt buckle latch.”
Honda dealers will replace the front seat belt buckle release buttons or buckle assemblies on any affected vehicle as needed free of charge.
The documents also confirmed that, as of early March, Honda had not received any reports of injuries or deaths related to the issue.
