Thousands of people in the United Kingdom have not been able to make or receive phone calls due to cuts in the Three Network.
Downdector, a website that tracks the interruptions, showed more than 10,000 reports of mobile network on Thursday.
Customers who use smaller mobile telephone companies, Smarty and ID Mobile have also been affected because their suppliers use the Three network.
The Three support team has been informing people who are “working hard to solve this as soon as possible”, but that does not have “a deadline” to solve it. But in an update at 6 PM, Id Mobile told their customers through their website that “3uk engineers identified and isolated the suspicious problem.”
Three has about 10.5 million customers in the United Kingdom and many share their frustrations in social networks for the interruption caused.
A person said he had “missed a medical appointment” for not being able to receive calls, while another said that his daughter had been “stranded.”
It is unknown if customers can claim compensation for problems, and ofcom warns on their website that reimbursements “can be appropriate.”
The competition and market authority gave the green light to the fusion of Three with its former Vodafone rival in an agreement of 16,500 million pounds last month.
In an X publication, Three said: “We are aware of a problem that affects a small percentage of voice services, our team is working hard to solve it as soon as possible. We regret any inconvenience caused. Data services and calls to 999 are not affected, have patience with us. ”
After the promotion of the newsletter
Also publishing in X, Id Mobile told customers: “We are aware of a problem in the entire network that affects the services, unfortunately we are not sure when it will be solved. However, we inform this to our teams and work to solve it as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. ”
