Several online banking platforms, including Ubank, Beyond Bank and Bank Australia, are experiencing outages, which could affect hundreds of thousands of customers.
Technical problems were reported to have persisted for several hours on Thursday evening, but none of the affected banks could say exactly when their app and online banking services would reliably work again.
Ubank is one of the online banking services that collapsed in a major outage affecting Australian customers.
“A number of banks, including Ubank, are currently experiencing intermittent issues with our app and online banking,” a Ubank spokesperson told Seven News.
‘We understand this is frustrating and that some customers trying to carry out their usual banking activities, such as moving their money between accounts, are experiencing difficulties.
“We are very sorry for any inconvenience this issue may cause.”
