Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi reveals why Chris Hemsworth is the perfect superhero and says upcoming sequel will be ‘the greatest Marvel movie ever’
Taika Waititi is currently working on the next Thor sequel entitled Thor: Love & Thunder.
And the 45-year-old filmmaker gushed about the franchise’s protagonist Chris Hemsworth during an interview with Richard Wilkins for Weekend Today.
When asked how the filming for the blockbuster is going, Taika said: ‘Great – we have four weeks to go, I can see light at the end of the tunnel. It might just be the best Marvel movie ever! ‘

Speaking of Hemsworth, the Kiwi director praised the Aussie hunk’s sense of humor.
“He’s a funny guy, he’s a good friend, and he’s also someone you want to hang out with all the time,” he said.
“And I think that’s all you really want from a superhero or a main character in your movie.”

Russell Crowe recently confirmed his role in the upcoming Marvel blockbuster Thor: Love and Thunder, after much speculation.
The 57-year-old Hollywood star revealed that he is going to play the god Zeus in the movie, who is his A-list pal Chris, 37.
Rusty dropped the bombshell during an interview on JOY Breakfast with The Murphys and explained that he would finish his last day of filming.

“Now I’m going to get on my bike, ride to Disney-Fox studios … and around 9:15 am I’ll be Zeus in Thor 4,” Russell said.
He added: ‘It’s my last day of Zeus-ing over.’
The film is currently scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.
