Thomastown stabbing: A group of armed children stab a teenager in the back in a terrifying attack in the northern suburb of Melbourne

Haunting footage has captured the moment a teenager is stabbed by knife-wielding thugs, leaving him with multiple cuts across his bloody back.
The terrifying attack, believed to have occurred last month, shows a shirtless teenager running through a park in Thomastown, north Melbourne.
The confrontation video has circulated on multiple social media platforms and shows a gang of youths attacking the teenager.
One attacker is heard yelling “run you f**k” before another demands the teen “say sorry.”
The victim is then seen tripping on the grass and falling to the ground before being surrounded by his attackers.
The gang then repeatedly stabs the boy in the back with knives and kicks him while he is down.
He is then heard groaning in pain after being stabbed, and one of the attackers demands that he “say sorry, right now, it’s your last breath.”
The video ends by showing the victims with their bloody backs covered in multiple stab wounds, slashes, and cuts.
Some of the offenders are understood to attend schools in and around Thomastown, according to the herald sun.
It comes as the city has seen an increase in knife violence involving teens since November of last year.

Three teenagers have been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing Ethan Hoac in Melbourne’s western suburb of St Albans.
The 14-year-old boy was allegedly struck by an SUV while walking home from a train station before teens wearing face coverings and armed with knives got out of the car and allegedly stabbed him to death.

In December last year, 18-year-old Hashim Mohamed (pictured) was stabbed to death in a fight on St Kilda beach.
In April, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Ashburton during an alleged armed robbery and a girl was stabbed at a party in Westgate Park.
A 16-year-old boy was also stabbed to death on a bus in Templestowe in March.
In December last year, 18-year-old Hashim Mohamed was allegedly stabbed to death in a fight off the coast of St Kilda, and police arrested two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, in the alleged stabbing.
In the same month, a 19-year-old man was allegedly stabbed at Watergardens shopping center and was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Police arrested five teenagers outside Watergardens train station shortly after the incident.
Last November, a teenager was stabbed on the bus in Dandenong and a 15-year-old was stabbed in Bacchus Marsh.
