Thomas Tuchel has reportedly contacted Raheem Sterling ahead of Chelsea’s imminent bid for the Manchester City forward.
The England international has emerged as one of Tuchel’s main transfer targets this summer, with the 27-year-old being seen as a potential replacement for the outgoing Romelu Lukaku.
With just a year left at the Etihad, Sterling is closely followed by a number of top clubs across Europe, with Chelsea doing their best to secure his signature.

According to The Telegraphthe Blues are preparing an opening offer for Sterling, valued by City between £50 million and £60 million.
Real Madrid and Barcelona also reportedly have interests in Sterling, but the City winger would prefer to move to Chelsea due to the opportunity to regularly play in the first team and compete for trophies.
The Blues see Sterling as an attacking replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is on the cusp of completing a loan spell with Inter Milan for next season.
With City making the additions of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez on the attack, the 27-year-old could see his playing time at the Etihad cut even further, which has put teams across Europe on notice.

The American took over from Roman Abramovich last month after the Russian oligarch decided to sell Stamford Bridge in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and British government sanctions.
Among the main targets are Matthijs de Ligt, Jules Kunde and Sterling, with Jonathan Clauss, Ousmane Dembele, Richarlison and Gabriel Jesus also mentioned.
Boehly, Chelsea’s chairman and acting sporting director, is said to have explored the possibility of offering some of the club’s unwanted players as part of bids for Tuchel’s transfer targets.
