Thomas Tuchel says he will give Chelsea’s failed forwards until the end of this season to stop their slump before deciding if more reinforcements are needed.

But when asked if this is sustainable – or if Chelsea needs a new No. 9 – the German said, “ For the next eight weeks, we just have to think about how to improve the score and the scoring situation, and nothing else, and then in the summer we think further and together with the club we think about which solutions are the best solutions for us.
‘Is it the best solution to stay with our team? Is it the best solution to stay in the formation we have? Can we improve individually and as a group on the training field … these are the questions for June.
For now, in April when we arrive, everyone knows that when you read the statistics, it’s clear and the guys are missing out on this last percentage of confidence if they don’t score.
He added: “Everyone wants higher grades, we, you, but of course it is difficult for us to produce, but we will not stop pushing.”
