Reality TV star and former South Carolina treasurer Thomas Ravenel is fined $ 500 after taking a plea for suing an ex-nanny.
Ravenel, 57, was initially accused of a second-class offense and battery charge after Dawn Ledwell said the former Southern Charm star dropped his pants and stroked her in his Charleston home in January 2015.
Ravenel pleaded guilty to third-degree attack and battery and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but the penalty is suspended if he pays a fine of $ 500.
It is the same amount that Ledwell claimed in a sworn statement that he offered to pay a driver to wipe cocaine from him before he visited his newborn at the hospital in November 2015.

Bravo took Ravenel from Southern Charm after his arrest.
Ravenel pleaded guilty to cocaine complaints in 2007 and resigned as state treasurer.
Last month, a South Carolina judge, Kathryn Dennis, 28, granted custody of her two children that she shares with Ravenel.
Ravenel had sought full custody of daughter Kensie, five, and son Saint, three, and claimed that his ex-partner was an unsuitable parent and still used drugs.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Ravenel will be the primary legal custodian, while both were ordered to work together on health issues, education, and other important decisions involving the children.
Both were ordered not to consume alcohol or use prescription drugs in the presence of the children, or to use illegal drugs with anyone with whom they are romantically involved.
Neither party may allow a romantic partner to spend the night when they have custody of the children, or talk negatively about the other towards the children or on social media.
Moreover, they must not expose the children to violent or profane language of any kind.
Dennis and Ravenel have been embroiled in bitter custody for the past three years, with Ravenel getting full custody of the two children in 2016 after Dennis had tested positive for marijuana use.
In court he said on Wednesday that he was trying to kiss her and grabbed her arm and he was wrong
Dennis then completed the rehabilitation and asked a court in Charleston, South Carolina for full custody of the children in the aftermath of Ravenel's arrest for assault and battery charges.
In May, DailyMail.com received a statement from his child's former nanny as part of the custody clash accusing him of abusing cocaine and alcohol and committing domestic violence against Dennis.
Dennis has appeared in all six seasons of the Southern Charm, which is broadcast on the Bravo channel.
The network and Ravenel closed the bands after season five, after being accused of sexual violence by two women.
The separate accusation of sexual abuse comes from a woman he met through Tinder in 2015.
He denied both allegations.
