FancyZones can bring some order to an unruly desk. It allows you to set specific layouts on the screen for your windows to be placed on, and these layouts can also be saved for later use, so you can switch between different settings as needed.

Choose Launch layout editor from the FancyZones settings and you can choose between different window layouts on the screen. You can stack windows in columns, for example, or have them in rows on top of each other, or keep them stacked in one corner of the screen. It is particularly useful for widescreen monitors or when using multiple displays.

With FancyZones enabled and your preferred layout selected, simply long-press Change while dragging a program window to drop it in an area, where it will snap into position. You can even modify the colors of the zones and the margins between the zones.
