Chrissy Metz has split from her boyfriend Bradley Collins after three years of dating.
The 43-year-old This Is Us star and the writer released a joint statement via Instagram on Friday, announcing their split and declaring that they still “love each other very much.”
“After three and a half years together, we have decided to amicably end our romantic relationship,” the statement said.
‘Although we continue to love each other very much, we believe this is the best path for both of us. We still have books to write, songs to sing and a special friendship that will keep us in each other’s lives forever.”
The pair met on dating app Bumble, with Chrissy making their relationship Instagram official in 2020.

It’s over: The 43-year-old This Is Us star and the writer released a joint statement to Instagram on Friday announcing their separation and declaring that they still “love each other very much.”
The actress opened up about the beginning of the relationship on Radio Andy in 2021, saying: ‘Who would have thought I had to go on the old Bumble? But I have no shame.’
Chrissy was in Nashville for work and then decided to stay in town, partly to be within driving distance of her mother, who was “facing medical issues.”
She explained: ‘So it wasn’t something I expected or planned, but I thought, “I’m a bit bored, so let me try the old Bumble.”’
Women should send the first message on Bumble, which was part of the appeal to Chrissy, she revealed as Andy Cohen’s host on the programme.
The Florida-born TV actress said: “I like the idea of the woman getting to make the first move. I think that’s so cool. I love that!’
Chrissy admitted that “of course you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you definitely find a prince,” and revealed that when she signed up on the platform “there was a demand and I had to make sure I met the person I said I used to be.’
But while she has verified her identity for the platform, she “hasn’t put much on my profile either, because I thought, it eliminates the people who might want to talk to me for some reason other than a real reason.”
She added, “But I remember seeing a picture of a guy and he was an aspiring writer and he had a This Is Us coffee cup and I was like, ‘Ugh, I can’t do that.’ I can not do it! be too weird.” And then I thought, ‘Oh, that’s sweet, but that’s not possible.’

Still friends: “After three and a half years together, we have decided to amicably end our romantic relationship,” their joint statement read
Chrissy recalled, “So yeah, of course you talk to a few people, and you know it’s like, ‘Oh, we’re not clicking. We’re not shaking.’ And you know, you like to think the best out of every situation.”
She noted, “But interestingly enough, Bradley and I have all the same friends. He knows all the same songwriters. He has been active in music publishing for sixteen years.’
The Talking To God singer said: “And so we’d been in the same rooms, but we’d never met, so I thought, well, I’m looking forward to it, you know, it was definitely meant to be, so.”
