The Dell XPS 13 has our list with best Ultrabooks and even the best laptops since a couple of years, and it's hard to imagine that everything else can surpass this sleek beauty, especially since Dell has constantly updated the design over the years.
The most significant of these is the new one Dell XPS 13 (2018), that's a little slimmer and comes with the latest top-of-the-line innards that offer a lot of growl under the hood. But that redesign is not completely uncontroversial, because it also dropped the full-size USB-A ports that its predecessors had (ie the general USB-A ports we have used over the last decades) and swapped for USB C ones instead.
You would therefore be forgiven if you might consider the 2017 model while it is still available.
The 2017 XPS 13 line-up was a relatively small upgrade from its predecessor 2016, where Dell focused on improving performance rather than changing the appearance of the Ultrabook – but that made it our favorite ultraportable laptop three years in a row when we tested.
That 2017 model is that Dell model that currently also offers a $ 750 discount – and it's a premium configuration, with additional storage and memory, which has almost dropped to the price of an entry-level 2018.
Dell XPS 13 (2017) i7 / 16GB / 512GB | usually $ 2,999 now $ 2,249
$ 750 is one of the biggest discounts we've seen for each configuration of the Dell XPS 13 and is available for a specific 2017 configuration. It is a premium option with an Intel Core i7-7560U processor, 16 GB of memory and up to 512 GB of NVM solid-state storage. Dell says the offer is "as long as it's in stock", but because we have no idea how many are left, if you're looking for an XPS 13, you'd do well to quickly solve a problem if you I want to miss the risk.
