Add one egg at a time directly to a short, sturdy glass of cold water. Cover the glass with your hand and shake it vigorously.

And she continued, “Shake, shake, move everything around you.”

When you do this, the cracked egg will “pop easily out of its shell as when a snake sheds its skin”.

“I made about 25 eggs in less than five minutes,” Anita added.

Others have shared their own tips for quickly peeling hard-boiled eggs.

“We boil a lot of eggs in our house and what I do is once the eggs are boiled, I get a heavy butter knife and use the handle to squeeze each egg a few times, cracking it open. I let the eggs sit in the hot water until they cooled and the shell literally slid off in a second! one person wrote.

Another post: add some water to the glass as well. This works.
