Three-dimensional graphic displays, analog controls, motion-based inputs – all of these were vital innovations in gaming. And now we have the next big leap forward in game technology: fat-free controllers.
Microsoft has developed a new Xbox One controller that is supposedly insensitive to grease. The controller has a surprisingly radiant yellow-on-gray color scheme and is covered by hand in a urethane material that removes grease as certain outerwear does with sweat.
However, the company only produces 200 of them in Australia as a Facebook giveaway to promote the release of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG on the console.
Unfortunately, the controller you've always dreamed of is not available for sale, much less available outside of Australia. That is cold, Microsoft.
It is hoped that this controller will get a wider release, because we are sure that many Saturday nights, Cheeto-loving gamers pay a royal sum for something like that.
