A full-time Kansas City nanny has shared her glamorous part-time job as a celebrity stunt double after years of being compared to a famous singer.
Kelley Thrasher, 40, was told she looked like famous pop star Taylor Swift for 14 years.
And now she’s managed to create a lucrative second career out of it, with Thrasher revealing that she makes more in two hours pretending to be Swift than she did in an entire week while working as a teacher.
Thrasher hadn’t paid much attention to the comments until he attended a Swift concert, where he found himself in a terrifying situation.

Thrasher says she was ‘harassed’ at a concert 12 years ago after wearing an old Halloween costume
The concert was 12 years ago, during Swift’s Speak Now tour, when Thrasher found herself harassed by fans who mistook her for the real thing.
She had worn a Taylor Swift costume for Halloween the year before and decided to wear it again for the concert.
‘Children. Moms. Everywhere. It’s me and two of my friends. We are trying to escape. “One of my friends pulled me out of the crowd and said, ‘She’s not Taylor!'” Thrasher said. The Kansas City star.
She added that people continued to approach her throughout the concert asking for photos and finding the experience “honestly, a little scary.”
A friend encouraged Thrasher to consider working as a Taylor Swift tribute artist after the concert, the outlet reported, but it took a chance encounter with Bruno Mars to push her to accept the gig.
Mars was so convinced she was the real Taylor Swift that he sent free drinks to a woman he thought was his showbiz friend.
He decided in June to start accepting invitations to perform at parties, the daily starsaying that he was hesitant at first because he “didn’t want to fool people, especially kids.”
Since it started, she’s talked to one of the party organizers, who said, “The kids don’t even care; they love Taylor and they’ll be amazed anyway.”
Thrasher says his star has risen even higher locally thanks to a happy coincidence. The real Swift is now a regular in Kansas City thanks to her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, which has further fueled local interest.
“I get stopped a lot because there’s always a chance that Taylor is in Kansas since Travis Kelce plays here,” he told the outlet.
After starting just a few weeks ago, Thrasher said he had already played four shows and was booked for most of September.
Thrasher said: ‘The way I see it, Taylor can’t be everywhere at once… just like Santa. I’m just Taylor’s assistant because it’s impossible to be everywhere at once.
Thrasher, who reiterated that she had been rocking the red lip and cat-eye combo since college, joked that she needed a T-shirt that said, “Not Taylor’s version.”
Thrasher’s resemblance to the pop star has also attracted national attention, after the lookalike appeared on the morning show Live with Kelly and Mark.
“I get stopped a lot because there’s always a chance Taylor could be in Kansas since Travis Kelce plays here,” said Thrasher, who lives in Kansas.
Her initial job as a teacher didn’t give her time to pursue any other work, so she transitioned to being a nanny with more flexible hours, but has since discovered that another career change may be necessary.
‘The money is good: I earn more in two hours than in a week when I worked as a teacher. At the first party I entered, all the guests stood in silence with their mouths open; “Everyone was very excited,” he told the Daily Star.
Thrasher says he is “happier now” with the additional income, shorter weeks and more time to spend with his 1-year-old son, the Kansas City Star reported.
