This Country’s Daisy May Cooper Reveals Her Glamorous Makeover After ‘Divorce From Husband’ Will

Daisy May Cooper revealed her glamorous makeover on Instagram on Tuesday night when reports emerged that she is split from husband Will Weston.

The 34-year-old This Country star seemed far removed from her character Kerry as she posed for a mirror selfie in black skinny jeans and her hair scraped back into an Ariana Grande-inspired ponytail.

Daisy showed no signs of heartbreak as she posed in front of the mirror amid claims she ended her marriage to Will because she was “tired” of the strain of the relationship during the lockdown.

It comes just as it was announced that the actress would be team captain opposite Noel Fielding for the new series Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Taskmaster’s Greg Davies will take the helm of eight new episodes of the show that will air on SKY and NOW in late 2021, and will also host a Christmas special.

Noel, 48, will return as team captain, opposite This Country star Daisy, while Jamali Maddix, 30, will be a regular.

Daisy May Cooper is reportedly divorced from her husband Will Weston.

The 34-year-old This Country star is said to have become ‘tired’ of her marriage to her partner amid the pressure of the corona crisis.

“They put an end to it for good earlier this year. She has taken off her wedding ring and told her friends that their marriage is over.

She also fired Will as director of her media company. It was 17 tough months for everyone and Daisy and Will were no exception.’

The source added that the couple, who married in September 2019, are both devoted parents to their children, daughter Pip, two, and son Jack, nine months.

A representative of Daisy May Cooper declined to comment when MailOnline contacted him.

In an earlier social media post, Daisy said she couldn’t be happier with Will.

She wrote, “I’m lucky to have found my soul mate.”

Daisy revealed she was married getrouwd when she paid tribute to her co-star and childhood friend Michael Sleggs.

Michael died of heart failure in July 2019 at the age of 33, playing Michael ‘Slugs’ Slugette on This Country.

Daisy wrote at the time: ‘I am getting married tomorrow and this would be one of my bridesmaids in a white suit.

“I miss you so much and I will miss you so much tomorrow. Thank the lord for snails x.’

Daisy announced the birth of her son Jack on Instagram last September, gushing that he was “absolutely perfect.”

The couple was congratulated by famous friends, including Fearne Cotton, Katie Piper and Line of Duty actress Vicky McClure.

Daisy captioned her post at the time, “I’m thrilled to say that me and @willwestonlandscape are expecting another chat.”

The Cirencester-born star rose to prominence when she co-created the comedy series This Country with her brother Charlie.

The show follows the daily exploits of best friends Kerry and Kurtan in rural England.

Daisy and her brother Charlie made more than £250,000 last year, despite complaining that they were ‘f*****g skint’.

According to new accounts, the two actors boasted huge sums of money in the banks of their self-titled companies after becoming known as siblings Kerry and Kurtan Mucklowe in the award-winning “mockumentary.”

This comes despite Daisy moaning last year that she only had £150 in the bank, insisting she doesn’t live up to the assumption that all TV stars ‘roll in’.

Accounts show that Charlie’s self-titled company Charlie Cooper Limited had a staggering £201,638 in the bank and left £162,771 after paying off loans, a significant increase from £67,517 last year.

Meanwhile, Daisy’s company paid out £160,000 in dividends and originally had a net worth of £49,271.

This Country ended last year after three heats.

The pair have since sold the rights to the program to the US, with the first trailer for the US remake, titled Welcome To Flatch, released earlier this week.

At the time, the couple complained that they were “skinned” after squandering their earnings on “c**p candles and ASOS supplies.”

Daisy told The sun: ‘We are absolutely f****** skint right now. I have £150 in my bank.’

Charlie added: “People see you on TV and they assume you’re definitely into it. The thing is, we missed the boat on DVDs. If this was 15 years ago, we’d fucking roll into it.’

Daisy also previously admitted that she was making £100 a month as a cleaning lady and couldn’t afford to buy a McDonald’s for her breakout in This Country.

She said of Lorraine, “It was such a bleak time. I just got out of drama school, got nothing, had to move back in with my parents and do nightly cleaning.

“I think I was paid about £100 a month and while we were cleaning we came across these characters and said, ‘We need to write something’. Because humor was the only thing that got us through such a depressing time.’

She continued, “A lot of it based on experiences we had. At the end of the first series, they talk about how they couldn’t afford McDonald’s and had to watch their friends eat one, and that was our life.

“We had nothing and even trying to audition £9 to get on a National Express was such a big part of our weekly budget.”
