Shocking doorbell footage captured the moment two thieves stole a $2,500 African Gray parrot outside its owner’s home.
A red SUV is filmed pulling up and double-parking in front of the Orange County home in Santa Ana.
A hooded gray figure then steps out of the car, grabbing the large cage housing the bird, named Luna, from the front cage.
His friend helps him as they load the cage into the vehicle before driving off.
The parrot’s owners are now urgently asking for help to try to get the expensive bird back.

A Facebook post by Abigail Ayapantecatl reads: ‘PLEASE share! We’re trying to find the thieves who stole my brother’s African gray parrot.
‘This happened in Orange County, Santa Ana. Our parrot is sick and needs daily medication.
“She was in her cage getting some air as she is an indoor bird and these 2 men took her away in a matter of seconds.”
“My brother tried to chase them, but they sped away.”
She added: ‘Main towards Warner. I attach photos of these people. There are no license plates on his red SUV. We have filed a police report, but we need everyone’s help to spread the word. We are devastated, we just want to get our parrot back.
The family has owned Luna for over ten years.
