NBA legend Charles Barkley has defended Bud Light after its association with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney and labeled those who boycotted the brand ‘rednecks’.
His comments were captured over several nights this weekend at a bar in Lake Tahoe, California, where he had been playing in a celebrity golf tournament.
Barkley was filmed proudly announcing over a microphone that he had bought boxes of Bud Light for customers.
“I have three cases of Bud Light,” he told the audience, adding, “If you’re gay, bless you.” If you are trans, blessings. If you have a problem with that, fuck you!

On another night, Barkley was again filmed addressing the crowd and doubling down on his pose.
‘Hey, let me tell you something. All you rednecks or assholes who don’t want to drink Bud Light, fuck you,” Barkley told the crowd.
“I’m not worried about getting fired because let me tell you something, if they fire me and give me all that money, I’m going to be playing golf every day,” he said.
‘So listen, like I said last night, if you’re gay, God bless you. If you are trans, God bless you. And if you have a problem with them, fuck off,’ he said.
He made very similar comments during the same tournament in Lake Tahoe last year.
“I want to say this, if you’re gay or transgender, I love you,” he said in 2022.
She then paused before adding, “Hey, and if anyone gives a shit, tell them that Charles said, ‘Fuck you!'”
His position in favor of LGBT groups goes back even further. In 2006, he told Fox Sports that he is a “huge supporter of gay marriage.”

Barkley was in Lake Tahoe because he is competing in the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament.

Stephen Curry of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors holds up his trophy after winning the 2023 American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course on Sunday.
En told 106.7 The Fan in Washington: ‘First of all, society discriminates against gay people. They always try to make it as if athletes discriminate against homosexuals.
“I’ve been a big supporter of gay marriage for a long time, because as a black person, I can’t experience any kind of discrimination.”
Barkley was in Lake Tahoe because he is competing in the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament, which was won this year by his basketball partner Stephen Curry.
The Golden State Warriors player scored a hole-in-one on Saturday and topped it with an eagle on the par-5 18th hole at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
“I don’t do this for a living, so it’s something you dream about,” Curry told ESPN.
“I’ve been playing in this tournament for almost a decade and now I have some hardware to prove it. It’s pretty special.
