Naomi Watts received a very sloppy kiss from her giant Great Dane co-star on the set of her film The Friend in New York City on Tuesday.

The seasoned actress, 55, snuggled up to her canine co-star while filming scenes for the movie.

Naomi kept herself comfortable in an oversized blue overcoat paired with black trousers and stylish leather shoes for the scenes.

She added a pop of color to her look with a patterned red and blue scarf wrapped around her neck, which complemented her blonde locks, which were styled in a chic bob.

At one point, she knelt down on the sidewalk to share a tender moment with her furry companion.

The Friend is based on Sigrid Nunez’s novel of the same name, which was originally published in 2018.

The book focuses on a writer who takes in an elderly Great Dane after its owner, who was also one of her close friends, unexpectedly passes away.

Deadline originally revealed that The Friend was being adapted for the screen in February 2022.

At the time, it was revealed that Naomi had been cast as the film’s lead, and that Scott McGehee and David Siegel would be co-directing the project.

Physical production for the adaptation of the novel started in New York City last month.

The potential premiere date of The Friends has not yet been revealed to the public.

Naomi is also preparing for the premiere of the finale of the historical drama series Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, where she stars as Babe Paley.

The show, based on author Truman Capote’s real-life conflict with a group of socialites, debuted last January.
