Kmart Australia has launched its new range of home products, but three products stand out

Australians looking to refresh their home on a budget are in luck as Kmart has launched a luxurious range of new products – but three stand out from the rest.

The $69 velvet floor mirror, the $149 Asker Boucle armchair and the $8.50 decorative hourglass are likely to be a hit with customers seeking a sophisticated style. All three products are also knockoffs of expensive designer purchases.

The collection exudes beauty and timelessness, and is sure to add elegance to your home without spending a fortune.

The chair looks almost identical to more expensive alternative versions. For example, the Lennox chair from Schots Home Emporium, which sells for $749.

The velvet floor mirror is unlike any other Kmart has sold before, as it features a full-length white wave design. High-end designs cost up to $599.95 at Gigi and Tom despite the fact that they look very similar.

The hourglass is also the perfect accent piece for a mantel, side table, or workspace and looks similar to a $45 version from Anthropologie.

Fans will be able to get their hands on the latest purchases in stores nationwide beginning July 25, though some products have already quietly made their way online.

With cost of living pressures at the forefront of consumers’ minds, the wide selection of products is designed to provide simple yet impactful styles across all price ranges.

The range has been designed by Kmart’s in-house design and buying team, fusing the best of global and viral trends into products that are accessible to all customers.

From charming dining rooms to relaxed living spaces, the collection promises to spark joy and brighten everyday moments in homes across the country.

The launch includes three key aesthetics to inspire customers: “Tonal Touch,” “Play with Pattern,” and “Keep It Modern.”

Shoppers can also expect to see trendy prints on bedding, tableware and home decor, bold colors and key icons like palm trees and shells.

How to choose a style for your home:

Mix different shades of the same color: Come home to a natural, warm and inviting living space, mixing green tones, calm neutrals and duo tones.

Add fun textures, such as chunky finishes and oversized stripes and checks for a touch of relaxed nostalgia.

Neutral layers: Create a sophisticated and timeless look by combining neutral tones and soft, flowing shapes.

Add some curved silhouettes, Wavy glass and high gloss ceramic create an elegant space, imbued with a sense of calm and tranquillity.

Set the mood: If you like clean, modern lines, with a nod to the warm style of wood, then urban style is for you.

Start with a neutral palette Then, add details with comfortable, tactile finishes, such as textured glass, hammered metal, and soft bouclé.

The department store also announced the return of a sleek floor lamp that sold like hotcakes on shelves during its first launch in February.

The Gigi floor lamp sold out in stores in February because of its sleek style and affordable price, and because it closely resembles much more expensive pieces.

Gigi features a curved rod, marble base, and pleated shade to create a warm ambient light; similar lamps, including the Lifely Achie Mid-Century Floor Lamp, are $299.

Meryn Serong, divisional merchandise manager at Kmart, said: ‘While our team explores trends from various corners of the world, our customers are a continuous source of inspiration for each new range.

‘Supporting the growing needs of our customers and being able to offer affordable products drives us to expand our offering season after season, with functional, buildable pieces to add to your home at our everyday low prices.’
