Pip Edwards, 44, a single mother and a powerhouse in the fashion business, is possibly the most sought-after woman in Sydney's east (pictured with her latest love Joshua Clapp).

There’s an immortal line in the movie Dazed and Confused when Matthew McConaughey’s sleazy character says, “That’s what I love about these high school girls, man.” I’m getting older, they’re still the same age…’

A similar philosophy can be found in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, where the aging silver foxes of Bondi, Vaucluse and Double Bay continue to age, but their girlfriends (although not of school age) rarely seem to reach 25.

However, there seems to be one very notable exception to the rule.

Pip Edwards, 44, a single mother and powerhouse in the fashion business, is possibly the most sought-after woman in the east. If you look at his dating history, he is a Hall of Fame Sydney movers and shakers. The pretty young influencers who pay $2,000 a week to live on the beach simply can’t keep up.

Her former loves include Ksubi king Dan Single, former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke and Grill’d co-founder Geoff Bainbridge.

Then there’s bar czar Cam Northway and, more recently, interior designer Joshua Clapp, who happens to be the ex-partner of her best friend Leah Simmons, the famous personal trainer.

What do these men have in common? In some cases, controversy. But above all, they are all rich, all powerful, all admired.

And, at one point or another, everyone was going crazy to date Pip, despite having their choice of the most beautiful women in Sydney.

Pip's personal brand is so bulletproof that not even Michael Clarke's messy fight in Noosa could take the shine off it.

Of course, I’m not suggesting that Pip isn’t as beautiful as the twenty-something girls walking around Bondi. However, what I hear from people in the eastern suburbs is that it’s not just her looks and spectacular body that has men around their little finger.

A former flame confessed he was “addicted” to her during their time together. He knew he should probably break up with him, but she kept pulling him in, like a siren.

“She’s a temptress, I couldn’t control myself and kept coming back for more.”

There’s a term for that: pure sex appeal. Not all women have it, not even the most beautiful ones. But Pip has plenty of it. Seriously, ask any man you know.

Aside from her down-to-earth, cool-girl style and impressive outfit, another ex said it was Pip’s mix of ambition and carefree that captivated him.

“She’s confident, successful and a little intimidating,” they revealed. “And you know she’s not looking for anything too serious, unlike most women.”

While her love life is legendary, Pip rarely focuses on her boyfriends in interviews. She recently said she didn’t understand the public interest in the men she dates and dismissed most of them as uninteresting. Oh.

‘I don’t know what’s so interesting about my boyfriends. “I think I’m more interesting,” he told Stellar magazine.

“I respect ex-boyfriends, but for me there are things much more interesting and more layered than that.”

We often hear about the ‘Peter Pans of Bondi’: men aged forty and over who like to date younger women. It’s so common it’s a cliché.

Maybe that’s why it’s so refreshing to see Pip take these rich, divorced, middle-aged men out of the Icebergs, show them a good time… and a few months later move on to the next.

I’m sure most women in their forties would dream of living their life.

And besides her mermaid sex appeal, the other thing that makes Pip a unique entity in Sydney’s east is how she comes out of all her relationships completely unscathed.

No man can tear her down or tarnish her mark. No matter who she dates, she remains an icon to PE Nation’s yummy mummies from coast to coast. His personal brand is so bulletproof that not even Michael Clarke’s messy fight in Noosa could take the shine off it.

Speaking of Clarkey’s fight (you know, the one where he blindly swore at his girlfriend the moment she didn’t sleep with Pip behind her back), Pip’s response to the fight was so cool that it’s still my favorite thing of all. sordid saga.

A year later, he dismissed it all as a “distraction” that took attention away from the “bigger picture of my life and what’s really real, and that’s my business, my job and my son.”

Will her latest love story with Joshua Clapp go to the end? Who knows. I doubt Pip is thinking that far ahead.

Whatever happens, I have it on good authority that she is truly aware of her attractiveness and the power she wields over her past, present and future suitors.

“She’s a real sorceress,” said one ex.
