“We are excited to collaborate with the team at Vertigo Films and a brilliant cast to bring this propulsive thriller to life.”

It comes after Alexandra broke down in tears as she revealed the immense guilt she felt when she returned to work just two months after giving birth to her first child.

She took minimal maternity leave to rejoin the touring production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 2022.

Alexandra, who welcomed her second child with footballer boyfriend Darren Randolph, 36, in September last year, cried as she revealed a moment she pleaded with bosses to delay the start of a show because her baby was distressed and needed food.

said the singer in the Dirty Mother Pukka podcast: ‘There were times when I was about to go on stage and I don’t remember where I was, and my firstborn was crying and they were telling me “we have to raise the curtain” and I was saying “I need to feed the baby.” I said “Keep the show going.”

‘The pressure I had and felt to get my butt on that stage. I said, “Can you let me feed the baby because I’m crying on stage,” and you couldn’t open the show because I was there crying.

And as much as everyone said “the baby will be fine, it will be fine.” But I am her mother and I felt a lot of guilt, and I still have that guilt.

“Not even the baby remembers it, but I won’t forget it.”

Alexandra said it was a big learning curve for her and “I will never allow myself to be away from my son again.”

“I also have to say that although I felt that pressure, and that moment stays with me, of course I signed up to do that show and the curtain goes up at 7:30 pm every night and I’m very conscious of that.” ,’ she said.

‘There are thousands of people in the audience waiting for the show to start so I don’t blame anyone for that situation. At the same time, it still excites me.”
