The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced the surprise delivery of the egg on lay another egg.”

Jon Plissner, supervising wildlife biologist, called the egg “a special joy” and said officials were “optimistic” it will hatch.

Like other albatrosses, Wisdom returns to the same location each year to deposit.
