The 33-year-old Adelaide woman, who was known to them, was arrested without incident when she handed herself to the Hindley St police station just after 10 o'clock.

SA Police inspector Cameron Devey said that the police initially received reports from a woman who was attacked but later discovered that two women had been attacked.

"We can assure the community that there is no other risk to other members of the public and that we have the case in place," said SA Inspector Cameron Devey against ABC.

The woman has been accused of two counts of a severe abuse that causes damage.

It is assumed that they will be denied bail in court, according to SA police.

She will appear on Monday in Adelaide Magistrates Court.

Grenfell street was temporarily closed but has now been reopened for all traffic.
